CINEMATOGRAPHY Sample Movie Clip

CINEMATOGRAPHY STYLE

We specialize in filming action subjects of sports, wildlife, industrials, commercial and feature films. We dramatize subjects with the use of long telephoto lens selections that allow for deep focus wide shots or close-up action against an out of focus background. Time lapse cinematography is used to demonstrate the passage of time, or recording events over time to compress and speed up the movement. Wildlife and athletes are filmed with a 3/4 backlight that enhances and dramatizes the action of the subject. We often incorporate studio style shots in our documentary films with the use of a dolly or Porta Jib arm set up in the field. By combining these elements of cinematography we have created a style that consistently delivers interesting high impact visuals.

FEATURE FILM CINEMATOGRAPHY

Echo Films has been shooting second unit footage and providing stock footage in 35mm to features films since l980. We shoot specialized scenes, inserts, stunts, and aerials of people and animals involved in exciting action sequences. We have filmed crashes, explosions and performed ski stunts where a number of cameras were required to complete a one-time action shot. For features where a number of cameras were required to complete a complicated one time action. Our footage has appeared in feature films "The Mountain Men" for Paramount, "Wild America" (Bald Eagle shots), "Timemaster" MCL where we shot stunts, ski chases and explosions, "The Soldier" for Universal, and "Cool Runnings" for Disney.
